What is professional organizing?
That’s a great question! There are actually many different types of professional organizers who do different kinds of work. Here’s what you need to know about my approach to organizing:
Organizing goes beyond tidying your space.
While a tidy home is nice, simply making a space look neater isn’t a long-term solution.
As a professional organizer, I work with you closely to understand the root causes of disorganization in your home and design systems to help you overcome those challenges.
I take your physical, emotional, environmental, and family circumstances into account.
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to organizing. I will find an approach that works for you.
Every client and every project is unique.
I create a custom plan based on your needs, which may include:
Helping you identify items you no longer need or want in your home, and donating, reselling, or discarding those items
Designing and organizing storage spaces that work for you
Choosing and shopping for organizational and storage products to optimize your space
Packing in preparation for a move
Accountability and check-ins to help you reach your goals
Strategies and recommendations to keep you organized
I do not provide house cleaning, move large items such as furniture, or install storage furniture or fixtures (but I can refer you to people who do.)
There’s an organizer out there for everyone.
I work with a wide variety clients, including adults with ADHD (I have my Level 1 Certificate of study in ADHD from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization.)
I work best with clients who are interested in personal development and investing in their well-being.
I do not specialize in working in significant hoarding environments. If you or a family member are in this situation, I would be happy to provide a referral to an appropriate organizer.
